Rescue Me ID: 18-01-03-00469Turbo (male)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Turbo is becoming increasingly unhappy to the point where it is affecting him behaviorally and putting a significant strain on both his and my family's quality of life. Turbo started off as my husband's 'bachelor' dog and, unfortunately, adding layers the past few years (marriage, another dog, more time consuming career, more than a few moves, a new son, etc.) has really taken its toll on Turbo. He is jealous and seemingly resentful and has become spontaneously aggressive towards our 17 month old son. We are forced to manage this behavior by keeping Turbo separated from our guests and family when my son is present (which makes him even more ... (Read More)upset). There is no trigger or warning for when he might act out and we thus cannot even feel assured that further training would make us comfortable with him staying in the home. In a group of adults, or one-on-one, he is the best dog - lovable, gentle, playful - you can see through his eyes into his soul. He loves to play, hike, play tug, and is just as happy curled up in the sun or on your lap. He is just as happy on your lap as he is trekking through the woods. He just wants to be close and be loved and, we are discovering, can become incredibly jealous. It would be most incredible if he could find a home where he would be the center of attention again. Turbo is 10000% house-trained, does not destroy or chew our home and furniture, does not rifle through the trash, etc. like many energetic large dogs might. He doesn't mind exercise, but doesn't need a ton of it either. Excepting his jealousy issues, it would be hard to find a more well behaved dog. I am truly devastated that we aren't able to make adjustments and keep Turbo happy with our lifestyle. He is neutered, healthy and fully vetted. Turbo would have have to go to a home without kids (now or in the foreseeable future) and probably without other pets. He would certainly LOVE to be the center of attention again and would really brighten the life of his new adopted owner. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-12-29-00206Luther (male)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Luther and I'm the most loving pup you'll ever meet! I'm a 4-year-old Staffy mix and weigh about 60 lbs. I had an INCREDIBLY tough start on life and was found near death, but you'd never know that if you met me! I love ALL people and I'm very gentle with children. I love being outside and running around with other dogs, but I also love cuddling with people. I'm really smart, so I already know some basic commands, like 'Sit! and I'm house-trained (which means no accidents in the house for me)! I'm good in my kennel and will lay down when it's time to go to bed. So if you're looking for an easy-going pup to give you ... (Read More)unconditional love and be your forever cuddle-buddy, then I'm your boy! I currently live in a foster home in Texas, but transport will be included in the adoption fee and arranged by Rescue Road Trip if you choose to adopt! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-12-10-00152Bosco (male)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bosco was raised in a family who really didn't have time for him. When their youngest was about 8 months old they decided it was in Bosco's best interest to find another home. Bosco is fairly stoic most likely because he never had enough attention. But he is doing great. He is not into other animals but would love a special person to call his own. He is crate trained and appears housebroken if on a schedule. Bosco would prefer a home with someone around to give him the attention he needs and to include him in their activities... to make up for lost time! Bosco is about 4 years old and weighs about 45#! He is pure muscle! He looks ... (Read More)like a big over sized pug... but being a pug fanatic myself, he is nothing like a pug! Lol! Bosco is overall a fairly easy keeper but it will take him some time to become your best friend! I do believe people have failed him... and although it took some time, he now trusts me and is becoming more personable every day! (Less)
