American Bulldog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

Please read entire description. Leia's adoption fee is $150. The first and required step of the adoption process is to complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. If the ad is still available, we are still accepting applications. Meet Leia. This pretty, 90 pound baby is almost 2 years old and is a St. Bernard / American Bulldog mix. She came to us when she began to get in trouble for taking out a few guineas on the farm where she was living. Farm living wasn't the life for Leia. She is now looking for a home that can make her part of the family. She is very cuddly, sweet, and quiet. She has ... (Read More)lived with other dogs in the past, but struggled meeting new dogs when she temporarily stayed in boarding. Leia is now in a foster home with no other pets and is doing well. We will not allow Leia to go to a home with other small dogs or cats because of her issues with small animals on the farm which led to her needing to be rehomed. Leia has also had little experience with children, so we are most comfortable with a home with older children. Leia has been in a foster home and has learned to be completely housetrained and cratetrained. She loves toys and belly rubs. She can be a bit nervous around new people, as is very typical of both of her breeds.. Leia does best when meeting new people outside and warming up on her terms and at her speed. Leia is a very good companion in the home if you want a very velcro dog that follows you around room to room, cuddles, and leans into you every chance she gets. Although strong, Leia does walk well on leash but is capable of pulling very hard when she decides to chase a squirrel for example. Ideally, her forever home would have a fenced yard. Leia is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you would like to add this big girl to your home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. (Less)

Please read entire description. If ad is still available, we are still accepting applications. Please complete an adoption application on our website as the first and required step of the adoption process. His adoption fee is $75 Meet Holden. This handsome mixed breed, hunk was a stray that was never claimed. We guess him to be about 1.5 years old and his mix is a mystery as well. We honestly have no idea! His coloring and his beautiful eyes do him no justice. He is stunning in person. He weighs about 67 pounds. This guy lives to play! He is a pro at fetch and loves to play with other toys. Holden knows several commands and is great ... (Read More)snuggling on the couch. He is quiet dog and very observant. He is by far one of the smartest and coolest dogs we have met. Holden seems uninterested in most other dogs and clearly has met a couple that he does not prefer. This indicates he would prefer to be an only pet in the home. We are unsure how he does with cats, but we guess he would chase cats. Holden would do well with children who are gentle. Toddlers make him nervous but children over 5 or 6 who know to leave him alone when he is chewing his bones would be fine. Holden is kennel trained and house trained. He has even been left out in a room while alone and has been trustworthy. Holden rides well in the car. Overall, this guy would be an excellent exercise companion, best friend, and protector. Since he was able to spend some time in a home, we know that he does well and makes a great family member. Holden is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered. If you are interested in meeting this guy, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. (Less)

Please read entire description before completing an adoption application directly on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Levi's adoption fee is $100. He's spent over a month in boarding waiting for the perfect forever home. We keep telling him to trust us; the wait is going to be worth it when he meets his forever people that rescue him. Levi is the cutest, burliest, stubby boy. He is a mix of breeds, possibly lab, bulldog, maybe Rottweiler and weighs about 65 pounds. He is around 2 years old. His exact history is unknown because he was an unclaimed stray. His former mail lady even recognized him as a dog on her route ... (Read More)and let his people know, but sadly, they still didn't come for him. Their loss! The more we get to know him, the more we love him. Levi is fun. He loves play with yard toys. He doesn't quite get the concept of catch, but he does love to play soccer and kick the toys around the yard. He loves them so much, that we will amazon prime his favorite to his new home as a 'welcome home' gift. Levi walks well on leash with very little pulling and does well on walks. Levi is very kennel trained and house trained. We feel he will acclimate to new routines quickly. Levi will need a home with no other pets and older children. Ideally, he would enjoy a fenced yard. Levi is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.
