Rescue Me ID: 17-09-20-00493Doug (male)
Doug is a happy go lucky boy, full of life and energy. He needs an experienced owner who is able to give him a lot of positive training and guidance, as well as love. He does not realize he is 60 lbs nor that he is as strong as an ox. He just wants to play, please and cuddle! He wants all your love and attention. Anyone interested will need to complete an application, allow a home visit, current vet check and sign a contract. It is very important to us Doug gets the life of a king for the rest of his life.

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-20-00453Brutus (male)
Meet Brutus! Brutus is a mixed breed that we are puzzled by, but we are going with chihuahua/bulldog mix! He is 2 years old. He came in with Deer. They get along great but they are not a bonded pair by any means. He is super friendly and loves to give kisses to strangers. He's a small fry at only 20 lbs. His adoption fee is $180 and includes his neuter, rabies, boosters, heartworm test (negative), flea treatment, deworming and microchip!

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-11-00212Pup (male)
Pup is a very happy and playful dog. He's a good home protector, and loves kids. Still enjoys to be babied and loves attention. Moderately trained, knows basic commands. Unfortunately I can no longer care for pup due to the fact that I've lost my home and have nowhere for him to go. Would like to find him a good home where he can be takin care of.

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-10-00062Brix (male)
10 month old male puppy. Very loving. We saved him from abusive situation where he lived in a cage outside so he's still learning social skills. Probably better with older kids as he doesn't recognize his size and is still gets mouthy when frustrated. Crate trained, potty trained and needs an energetic owner who has time to exercise with him. We were working with a private trainer until we realized he needs more than we can give with our busy schedules. We want a responsible, knowledgeable and active owner to continue the loving home we've given him so far.

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-12-00151Hoss (male)
Hoss came to us as a stray from Fowler, IN. He has not been reclaimed. He is alot of dog hence his name Hoss. He does not like being in a cage. But we have been working with him and he is doing a little better. Once out of the cage he is a different dog. He does walk pretty decent on a leash. He loves attention and dog treats. He doesn't mind getting a bath. He will roll over for a belly rub as well. Hoss needs someone who can handle him and his brute strength. Hoss will need his surgery before he can be adopted. If you think you moght like to meet Hoss call 765-585-0805 for a meet and great.

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-04-00012Roger (male)
Hi, my name is Roger! I am a sweet, mature gentleman who is well-behaved and easy-going. I weigh about 55 pounds. I love going for short to medium length walks! I also occasionally like to play with my tennis ball! I am a really good boy. I am crate trained and housebroken. I am trustworthy when I am left out of my crate, too! I don't pee on things or chew things up. That's the bonus of a more mature guy like me! I like respectful, calm children, but not a home where there is tons of commotion or kids running around being crazy. I get along with all cats, but would prefer to live with a calm dog who will leave me alone. I don't like to play with other dogs, but I will coexist with calm ones just fine. I do have allergies, and my foster mom has me on Apoquel to help with the itching. I wasn't well taken care of before ending up in a shelter. I am permanently missing fur on my rump and hind quarters. Foster mom says it's called 'elephant skin.' I think that is pretty funny! I hope I find a loving, forever home where I will always receive the medical care I need and deserve! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-30-00510Peaches (female)
Peaches is the most lovable and loving dog! She is the perfect size at just over 50 lbs. She loves snuggling, giving and getting kisses, playing with her toys, going for walks, zooming around the fenced yard, snoozing on comfy couches and beds, and of course she loves treats of all kinds! If you will spoil her and give her the cushy life she so deserves, she is the girl for you! She seems to like having a cat buddy around but isn't good with other dogs. She does have some noise anxiety and did not care of the 4th of July this year!(I am being fostered in the Lafayette, Indiana area!)

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-20-00141Brad Pitt (male)
We might have to change this guy's name. When he first came to PawSwaP as a puppy, he looked like a pit mix pup with unique markings. Now that he has matured into a handsome young man, we see that he really isn't pit after all, but more likely American bulldog. Let us reintroduce to the guy we call Brad Pit. We'll keep the name for simplicity sake, even if it may no longer be the best suited for him. This ultra handsome guy is a 1-year-old amazing dog who was a stray, but found love and a foster home with the very people who rescued him. He is now a young adult and weighs about 70 pounds. Brad is a very friendly guy who loves making new human friends. He greets everyone with a wagging tail, a big smile and a little bounce. When Brad was first found, he was emaciated and stressed. He had a brief encounter with another dog who isn't awesome with other dogs. Brad's reaction worried the foster family that he may not like other dogs. Last week, we consulted a behaviorist about Brad to figure out what kind of home he would succeed in. Well, come to find out, Brad loves other dogs! He loves to play and would do great with an active Buddy who isn't overly dominant. He showed no signs of aggression and was really relaxed even when a herd of dogs was barking at him begging for his attention. As for cats, this appears to be an extremely new concept for him. He will need to be guided around appropriate play with a kitty. He kind of wants to tackle a cat the way he does other dogs. We're guessing that most cats won't love that play style. Brad is fine with kids; just keep in mind that he a is a big boy who sometimes forgets his size. Not only is Brad fun and funny, he is also a lovable baby. He is cuddly and sweet. He loves to play with his tennis ball. He is also very well trained. he knows several commands and listens very well. His ideal home will love him bunches and continue the training the finders have started. Brad is super smart and loves to learn, especially when treats are involved. Brad is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is solidly housebroken and crate trained. He is perfect little boy. If you would like to offer Brad a forever home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $175. (Less)

American Bulldogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The American Bulldog is an athletic, determined, loyal, and highly devoted breed. American Bulldogs are very affectionate towards children but should be supervised because of their strength. American Bulldogs are very protective of their masters and make great guard dogs. An American Bulldog can do fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise and is walked daily. Like the English Bulldog, the American Bulldog tends to slobber.
