American Bulldog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Roger! I am a sweet, mature gentleman who is well-behaved and easy-going. I weigh about 55 pounds. I love going for short to medium length walks! I also occasionally like to play with my tennis ball! I am a really good boy. I am crate trained and housebroken. I am trustworthy when I am left out of my crate, too! I don't pee on things or chew things up. That's the bonus of a more mature guy like me! I like respectful, calm children, but not a home where there is tons of commotion or kids running around being crazy. I get along with all cats, but would prefer to live with a calm dog who will leave me alone. I don't ... (Read More)like to play with other dogs, but I will coexist with calm ones just fine. I do have allergies, and my foster mom has me on Apoquel to help with the itching. I wasn't well taken care of before ending up in a shelter. I am permanently missing fur on my rump and hind quarters. Foster mom says it's called 'elephant skin.' I think that is pretty funny! I hope I find a loving, forever home where I will always receive the medical care I need and deserve! (Less)

American Bulldog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament

Layla's mom is too ill to care for anymore. She comes with a letter from her. Not socialized with other dogs so she would need work on that. She charged a dog but didn't bite. Housebroken. Doesn't get on the furniture. Doesn't chew or make any messes when left alone. We are fostering for a short time but cannot keep her.

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-30-00510Peaches (female)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Peaches is the most lovable and loving dog! She is the perfect size at just over 50 lbs. She loves snuggling, giving and getting kisses, playing with her toys, going for walks, zooming around the fenced yard, snoozing on comfy couches and beds, and of course she loves treats of all kinds! If you will spoil her and give her the cushy life she so deserves, she is the girl for you! She seems to like having a cat buddy around but isn't good with other dogs. She does have some noise anxiety and did not care of the 4th of July this year!(I am being fostered in the Lafayette, Indiana area!)

Rescue Me ID: 16-12-27-00326Julius (male)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Julius LOVES all people! He is crate trained and housebroken. He loves walks and playing with toys in the yard and inside the house. He has lots of kitty friends here. He likes other dog friendly dogs, but has a rough play style, so the other dog should be close to him in size and also enjoy a rough play style. He would do best with a submissive dog that will not challenge him. A meet and greet with other dog would be mandatory. He would be fine as an only dog, too. Although he is playful, he settles down quickly and is quite laid back. He would enjoy snuggling on the couch or in your cozy bed. He weighs about 80 lbs. I am his ...     The American Bulldog thrived in the colonial American South due to settlers' problems with feral pigs. American Bulldogs were their best means of controlling the pigs. Some American Bulldogs can jump six feet in the air. The American Bulldog is a much closer relative of the Old English Bulldog than the modern English Bulldog is.
