Rescue Me ID: 18-01-15-00264Shorty (female)
Please read entire description. If Shorty is still listed, she is still available. The first and required step of the adoption process is to complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $150. Meet Shorty. This 3 year old Basset / Am. Bully mix is simply hysterical. She is fun, happy and energetic. Shorty has lived with other dogs in her previous home and has done well. She has not been around cats. Shorty would do well around children who can understand that she can be a bit possessive of her toys and bones (that sneaky Basset hound trait.) Shorty is housetrained and trustworthy to be left out of a crate as long as she doesn't have access to the trash. She has had limited experience walking on leash. Shorty is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in giving Shorty a home, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $150. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-13-00363Sasha (female)
Sasha needs a GOOD home. She is a one dog in the home dog as she is animal aggressive. She is very sweet around people and kids. Needs to work on house training. My ex-wife abandoned her here at my house and I cannot keep her. I refuse to take her to a shelter bc I know she'll just get put down bc of her aggression towards other animals and her breed :( She is 4 y/o birth date 11/28/13 Probably needs shots Has had one litter Is not spayed Located in Danville, IN

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-30-00278Petey (male)
My name is Petey. I am an American Bulldog mix. My family took me to the shelter in May because they don't have time for me. Now I am with Save A Dog Rescue. I'm OK with most dogs but cannot be trusted with cats. I've been very good around kids. I'm kennel/crate trained. I'm about 2 years old and still need some basic training. But most of all, I need a stable family that will provide adequate exercise, attention, and a lifetime commitment. I am in a foster home and foster mom says I get along with all her dogs, large and small. I weigh in at 65 pounds. I love to play fetch and like to run so I will have to have a fenced in yard. Please someone give me a forever home aren't I adorable? (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-10-27-00343Cowbell (female)
Cowbell is a young boxer mix about 2.5 years old. She is high energy and will need someone who is well experienced with training. Because of her energy level I would not recommend being around young children. I would suggest starting her as a single dog in a home. She has dominance issues with the senior dog of the current household. She is fixed with no known health issues, she is due to be updated on her vaccinations however. The family is looking for a good home who has the patience needed with training her and giving her the life she deserves. I am posting for my friend but we have chosen to provide my contact information to start. The number is a cell phone so calls or texts are acceptable to answer any questions. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-04-00012Roger (male)
Hi, my name is Roger! I am a sweet, mature gentleman who is well-behaved and easy-going. I weigh about 55 pounds. I love going for short to medium length walks! I also occasionally like to play with my tennis ball! I am a really good boy. I am crate trained and housebroken. I am trustworthy when I am left out of my crate, too! I don't pee on things or chew things up. That's the bonus of a more mature guy like me! I like respectful, calm children, but not a home where there is tons of commotion or kids running around being crazy. I get along with all cats, but would prefer to live with a calm dog who will leave me alone. I don't like to play with other dogs, but I will coexist with calm ones just fine. I do have allergies, and my foster mom has me on Apoquel to help with the itching. I wasn't well taken care of before ending up in a shelter. I am permanently missing fur on my rump and hind quarters. Foster mom says it's called 'elephant skin.' I think that is pretty funny! I hope I find a loving, forever home where I will always receive the medical care I need and deserve! I am being fostered in the Lafayette Indiana area. American Bulldogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The American Bulldog is an athletic, determined, loyal, and highly devoted breed. American Bulldogs are very affectionate towards children but should be supervised because of their strength. American Bulldogs are very protective of their masters and make great guard dogs. An American Bulldog can do fine in an apartment if it gets enough exercise and is walked daily. Like the English Bulldog, the American Bulldog tends to slobber.
