Rescue Me ID: 15-04-20-00460Boston (male)

American Bulldog    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered

Boston is our All-American Boy! He is a large 1.5 year old American Bulldog. Boston is unique with his one brown eye and one blue. He has a very short coat that is easy to care for and is silky smooth. He is white with flashy fawn markings splashed here and there. His big head endearingly wrinkles up when he is concentrating on following your every move. Boston always seems to know what you are thinking and feeling and he studies your face with such intensity that you feel as if he is looking into your very soul. While he may look like a tough guy, he is very sweet, sensitive and gentle once he trusts you. He loves to play, explore, kiss ... (Read More)you, eat cookies and get massages. Boston is the type of dog that is perpetually in a good mood and his jovial spirit is always uplifting. He is learning to walk politely on leash and other basic obedience skills. He is housebroken and takes good care of his belongings. Boston is very food motivated so training is very easy with him. He is medium energy and loves to curl up and cuddle for quiet time after a little bit of play. And did I mention belly rubs? He will spontaneously roll over on his side and 'ask' for a belly rub, very comical! He likes to talk but is not a nuisance barker. Boston is aloof and guarded with strangers and can be frightened of new situations due to lack of early socialization. With the proper guidance, continuing socialization and trust in his handler, Boston can overcome any scary situation he may encounter. Once he knows and trusts you he will be your best buddy. He has lived with another American Bulldog (Bella) in his previous home. We are looking for an experienced home for Boston, preferably with folks that understand the bully breeds. We would prefer a home without small animals and one without kids under 16 due to breed characteristics and playful exuberance. Boston needs an assertive, but compassionate pack leader who is patient and willing to introduce him to new people and new situations at his own pace. A structured training, exercise and continual socialization program would enable Boston to bloom into a fine canine good citizen. Boston also comes with the services of a personal trainer who has offered to provide free training and behavioral consultation for the rest of his life (some restrictions do apply). If you are looking for a wicked awesome and fun dog who would do anything for your love, look no further. Boston is your guy. Come meet him and see why he has quickly become a co-kennel favorite (with his friend Bella)! Check out his videos on You Tube: If you are interested in Boston, please fill out an adoption request form located at www.arnne.org, email info@arnne.org or call the shelter at 603-233-4801 and a volunteer will return your call. Rescue Me ID: 15-04-20-00438Bella (female)

American Bulldog    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella is our All-American Girl! She is a large one year old American Bulldog. Bella has absolutely stunning sea green eyes. She is truly a unique and strikingly beautiful dog. She has a very short coat that is easy to care for and is silky smooth. Bella is white sprinkled with patches of fawn. She has a really cool fawn patch around her right eye and a perfect circle on top of her head (her kissing spot). Bella is very toned and athletic looking. While Bella may look like a tough babe, she is very sweet, sensitive and gentle once she trusts you. Bella is turbo-charged and is very energetic. Think fur-covered Ferrari! She really needs a ... (Read More)working dog home (dog sports, tracking, agility) where she will have appropriate outlets for her high energy. Ideally, she needs to be challenged as much mentally as she is physically. She loves to play, learn new things, explore and just have fun! She can be a bit toy obsessed so she will need work on relinquishing toys when playtime is over, but that is easy enough to train her to do. Bella is always in a good mood and ready for action. She is learning to walk politely on leash and other basic obedience skills. She is very housebroken and clean indoors. Bella is very food and toy motivated so training is very easy with her as long as you can get her to focus her attention on the task at hand. Bella likes to chat you up...but is not a nuisance barker. Bella is aloof and guarded with strangers and can be frightened of new situations due to lack of early socialization. With the proper guidance, continuing socialization and trust in her handler, Bella can overcome any scary situation she may encounter. Once she knows and trusts you she will be your best friend. She has lived with another American Bulldog (Boston) in her previous home. We are looking for an experienced home for Bella, preferably with folks that understand the bully breeds. We would prefer a home without small animals and one without kids under 16 due to breed characteristics and playful exuberance. Bella needs an assertive, but compassionate pack leader who is patient and willing to introduce her to new people and new situations at her own pace. A structured training, exercise and continual socialization program would enable Bella to blossom into a fine canine good citizen. Bella also comes with the services of a personal trainer who has offered to provide free training and behavioral consultation for the rest of her life (some restrictions do apply). If you are looking for an effervescent, ENERGETIC and super cool dog who would do anything for your love or a TOY, look no further. Bella is the answer to your dreams. Come meet her and see why she has quickly become a kennel co-favorite (a title shared with her friend Boston)! Check out her videos on You Tube. All animals have had a thorough exam, are treated for any parasites or infections, spay/neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped.
