Rescue Me ID: 15-06-17-00283Elsa (female)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Elsa is super sweet with my 2 and 4 year old daughters who are all over her all the time and she is great with me. However, she has claimed me as her own and is aggressive with my husband whenever I am around. She has always had issues with men. She's great with visitors, but a constant male presence is a problem. She's really good with my tween nephews also. She does great at the dog park with other dogs, but I've never had another dog over to our house, so I'm not sure if her dominance would show at that point. I also have no idea about cats. Her birthday is 12/29/13 and she has been well cared for. If you are interested in her, I ... (Read More)would like to see where she would be living. We could meet at a neutral place like a park or something and if you feel she is the furbaby for you, I would then like to see where she will be living for the rest of her life. I really love this girl and am heartbroken I have to do this. She is really relaxed and will lay on her bed in the house all day if you like. She also loves to play with toys and run around, so she must have a yard. She does well on walks, but freezes a little when crossing busy streets...she's a bit nervous with chaos. She would be PERFECT for a single lady or a single mother. She's a love! She is protective her her home and will bark like an alarm when someone comes to the door. She will quickly calm when you allow the person in and tell her it's okay. We choose to try to stop this behavior when we are home so she doesn't think it's okay when we are there. Nobody will be approaching your house when you are away. She's a great guard dog. I am not in a hurry to 'get rid of her', but I must find her a new forever home. I'm willing to wait for the right person/people and even willing to give the right person a trial period to see if she works with them. Thanks! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-26-00212Indigo (female)

American Bulldog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults

ndi is a 6 year old purebred American Bully who was registered with the ABKC. She lived in Florida with one of her pups and several other dogs. The owners of the dogs declined in health and the dogs became neglected. They sat in urine and feces soaked crates for days on end. When animal control finally heard of the conditions they lived in, two years later, they confiscated the dogs. A trainer who previously trained the dogs when they were younger heard of the horrible situation and brought them from Florida to NM with the help of PACA. It took a while to get Indi healthy enough for adoption. She is great with people and kids. She is ok ... (Read More)with some dogs. She is crate and house trained and loves to lay on her bed and play with her toys. Although she is pretty well behaved the trainer will donate free classes for anyone who adopts her. Indi is a fun loving girl who is just looking for the right family to love her! Contact Lisa at customk9performance@gmail.com (Less)
