American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Blitz belonged to my nephew who is now in prison. She is very gentle with people but I'm not sure about other animals. She has started chasing and biting my horses who are older and retired. She is very high energy and rough, however I have managed to teach her to heel on leash and sit. Although she is good with people she has no idea how to play without getting too rough. My Mom is 80 and I am 61. We can't deal with her any longer. The neighbors are threatening to shoot her for chasing their calves.

Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

**NOW URGENT!!!** 615-772-6011 Meet Chloe, this beautiful lady is about 6-7 years old and just recently lost her mom. She and her 'brother' Jasper are now being kept outside and we need to get them into a home or a foster ASAP. They are both great with kids and other dogs, both are house trained, although they might need a quick refresher due to being outside. Their mom, took very good care of them, Jasper and Chloe are both fully vetted and on heartworm preventative. As you can see these babies are just a tad bit on the healthy side. Jasper weighs in at around 65-70 pounds and Chloe at around 60, so some daily walks or a fenced in yard ... (Read More)where they can run off leash to get exercise would be ideal. If you are interested in helping Jasper or Chloe, or even both together please apply online at http://www.adoptapet.com/rural-animal-rescue-effort-rare/adoption-application-2/ or email us at ruralanimalrescueeffort@gmail.com and we will send you one. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-04-00284Roscoe (male)

American Bulldog    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Roscoe was found on 11/5/15, weak and emaciated. He weighed just under 35lbs that day & tested positive for heartworm. Currently, Roscoe weighs 65lbs! We are preparing to begin his heartworm treatment, therefore, he would not be available for adoption until he is free and clear of those nasty parasites. With that in mind, we would like to offer a "foster-to-adopt" situation. Meaning, Roscoe still belongs to the rescue until he has the final stamp of good health from the Doc! Of course, the rescue is covering ALL of his medical expenses during treatment. Roscoe will steal your heart in a second. He is the sweetest, most gentle ... (Read More)soul you will ever meet. He does well with other dogs, but during treatment, he will need to remain calm and separated from other pets. Roscoe is definitely a ladies man! He loves all of our volunteers and staff, and the other female dogs in the kennel. He is very picky with male dogs, and cats are a big NO for him. He has been around children, but once again, he will need to remain very calm during his treatment. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Roscoe - please contact us, or check out Roscoe's album on our Facebook page! facebook.com/GuardianK9KennelRescue (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey guys, my name is Brody. According to the Urban dictionary, the definition of Brody is someone you can't help but love. We are kind, loving, caring, and adorable. I personally think they nailed it! I am a 2 year old loving boy who is looking for my best friend. I absolutely LOVE people! I am good with other dogs, except when they want to take attention away from me with my human, so I'm better off being the only dog, unless the other dog is very submissive and will let me be the superstar. Let's face it, I AM a superstar! Prior to adoption, I will be neutered, UTD on my shots and microchipped. My adoption fee $200. Please apply for me ... American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

My name is Chance! I am a very sweet, loving dog who has so much love to give. I have incredible green eyes and a muscular physique! I am 74lbs and about 3 years old. I love to run and play. A fenced yard of my very own would be a dream come true! I am looking for a home to call my own. Won't you please take me home and let me love you? I'll love you forever if you do! I am house trained, neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. My adoption fee $200. Please apply for me today! Online at http://www.adoptapet.com/rural-animal-rescue-effort-rare/adoption-application-2/ or email ruralanimalrescueeffort@gmail.com and we'll get one to ... (Read More)you today! Some of the animals we have listed are heartworm-positive and in need of caring individuals who want to save them. Chance is one of them. We provide two options for adopting and fostering them: The first option is to adopt and cover the cost of treating the animal yourself. Many people like to do this, because it gives them a feeling of pride and benevolence in knowing that they have played a major role in saving the animal they adopt. It seems to create a deeper sense of 'family' toward the animal, a closeness created by investing in the animal's welfare. The second option is to 'foster' the animal and care for it and treat it as your own while we provide and cover the cost of treatment, after which the animal is considered adopted and becomes part of your family. We will be more than happy to discuss these options with you and answer any questions you may have. (Less)

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive,
 Abused/Neglected

Gracie was abandoned and left without food and water in the intense, summer heat. We would love to keep her, but we have 3 other dogs. Gracie needs a home, where she is the only pet. She loves to play and would do best with an energetic owner who does things with her. Also, we are working on Gracie's heartworm problem with the slow-kill method. She is currently taking Doxycycline, along with her monthly heartworm preventative. Gracie will make a loyal friend for someone. She loves to snuggle. Anyone interested will need to provide a previous vet history of your pet care.

Animal ID: 15-07-12-00591Libby (female)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Libby is a beautiful and chunky ABD mix who was part of a litter of dumped puppies when she was very, very young. She was in terrible shape with a horrific infection in one of her eyes which caused her to lose sight in that eye. She kept the actual eyeball, but is blind in her left eye. She was adopted to a terrific home when she was a baby, but when Libby was about 1.5 years old, her human mother developed severe and life threatening health problems and could no longer care for Libby. So, she is now back with us and is looking for a new home. Libby is a big girl, and while she was very overwhelmed when she came back to the shelter, she has ... (Read More)adjusted very well. She can be a bit shy with people she does not know, but warms up very quickly with treats and kind words. She LOVES to play and wants to be with her person. Her blindness in one eye does NOT cause her any problems and she gets around just as good as a dog who has sight in both eyes. We recognize that Libby's size, breeding, and bad eye will make it difficult for her to find a home, but we sure want folks to know what a great dog she is! She is housebroken and really wants back in a home. Please come meet Libby today! Carroll County Humane Society, 731-352-9950 Libby gets along with the dogs at the shelter, but she would do best in a home as an only dog. Children sorta spook her, so she should not be in a home with children. She loves to lay in her bed and play with her toys. (Less)

American Bulldog ~ Adult ~ Female ~ Medium~ located at the Carroll County Humane Society McKenzie, TN (West Tn) Baby is a super sweet pit girl who found herself in a not good way. She was surrendered to a local animal control facility as a stray and what no one knew at the time was she was prego.
