Animal ID: 6808Yoyoma (female)

American Bulldog    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is YoYoMa and I just finished raising a litter of 8 puppies that I treated as if they were my own. The shelter estimated me to be 2 years old. I'm Picky about my dog friends.. I want a home where I can get a lot of exercise and lots of toys to chew on. I want to hang out at your feet and just be your love bug. I will do much better in a home with rules and boundaries as I like to take control if I am allowed. Please if you want a dog that has some training but still needs a strong leader I'm your gal. I will be ready 5/17-18 after her spay. I met one of my fosters grand daughters and liked her and gave her kisses, she was very ... (Read More)polite and 6 years old. I like to go on car rides and I sit nicely in the back seat. I have a low to medium activity level but would love to go on hikes too! UPDATE 5/16 SPAYED, this poor girl has had some rough knocks she was just found to be Heart Worm Positive and will start treatment shortly. It will be another 5 weeks until she can go home. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks' recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH's heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics#q12 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-11-00556Peeta (male)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Peeta is a very lovable dog. He has been called a 'gentle giant'. He is well behaved with our dogs, all adults and children. However, we are having issues with our neighbors. They are afraid to have their children play at our house after he got out and bit a neighbor's dog. He is not aggressive and is mostly submissive. We think he was just being protective because their dog was barking a lot. He is 75 lbs but due to his size its hard to prevent the kids from accidently letting him out when they open the door unless we put him in the garage. He is a good companion dog, he loves any and all petting he can gets. His coat is beautiful and ... (Read More)soft. To meet him is to love him. (Less)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

The world is a big, scary place'| Even for a 65lb pup. I showed up at the shelter in November of 2016 terrified of my own shadow, but some wonderful people were letting me hang out in their office to get to know me better and realized quickly that I'm a very special boy. Now that I'm in a foster home, I've really come out of my shell and I'm working on learning how to dog every day. Foster mom describes me as a 'blank-slate' and a 'handsome goof ball.' I guess that means that I'm a silly pupper who needs to learn all my basic doggy rules. I'll need a patient home that won't mind working with me as I continue to learn that the world isn't ... (Read More)quite so terrifying. I get along with dog-savvy kitties and other dogs. I will definitely do best in a home with a dog that will get along with a housemate who doesn't quite understand what being 'rude' is, as I'm still learning what other dogs like and what they don't. So if you're looking for a fun-loving dog that you can teach all the fun things to, then I'm your boy! You can check out my Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/BARCsNeumann (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

URGENT: FOSTER NEEDED Hi, my name is Humphrey and I am a shelter favorite! Can't you tell? I look great in just about everything, but my favorite thing to wear is a smile. Sometimes student volunteers come to visit me at the shelter, and they sure to do love to hug and kiss me! I don't mind that one bit, and when I see them coming (or anyone else for that matter) my cute little bottom gets the wiggles and I just can't stop it! I have been on walks with other dogs too, and I am a champ at that. I have seen a few kitties here and there and don't seem to notice them, so I might even be ok in a home with kitty cats. Please apply to foster or ... (Read More)adopt me today and I'm sure to wiggle my way into your hearts! (approx 2 yrs old; 46lbs; 3/2017) (Less)

American Bulldog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Zoe was turned into a high-kill shelter with her sister, Bella, when their owner could no longer care for them. Bella and Zoe are sisters and have lived together for their entire lives so we are searching for an adopter willing to adopt them together. They are estimated to be six years old. Zoe is potty trained and gets along with some dogs. Her sister does not get along with cats so they will need to be adopted out to a cat-free home. Zoe is the more calm and affectionate of the two sisters. She is deaf however it doesn't seem to hinder her.
